The Joker Glide

The creation of the Joker Glide was inspired by Harley-Davidson's release of their Purple Abyss Denim paint on the 2025 Model year bikes. Recognizing how much that purple reminded people of the Joker from Batman, I was asked to generate concepts then paint a Joker Theme on the bike. To begin the project I took photos of different angles so I could create digital compositions to present to the sales manager and staff to get their feedback on would would work best for their target demographic. Upon approval of my concept, I applied an initial sketch to the bike working with the body lines to ensured the design would flow with the Motorcycle. I created a design that not only represented the Joker and his chaotic energy but also the Batman and how those two would encompass the canvas of the motorcycle. With the Joker face on the high side of the faring and the Batman on the low side I wanted to create a relation between the two in how the would be in their world. The joker being out front and loud to be the spectacle he is know to be while the batman is on the low side as he would be waiting in the shadows. The intent was to showcase those two opposing forces at the front of the bike with the jokers iconic laughter rolling along the bottom.
